Pre-Application Preparation
In order for Polymax M5 Thermal Insulation Board Plaster to be applied, the boards must be firmly adhered to the surface and doweled. Plates should not be stretched by wind load.
In order to protect the system against possible mechanical damage at the upper edges of building spaces such as windows and doors and lower edges of building protrusions, dripstone profiles should be used to ensure that the water flowing from the facade flows directly downwards without leaking towards the door and window centers and under the cantilevers, and to ensure smoothness on the plaster floor.
After applying plaster equal to the profile width on the application surface, the drip profile is placed on the scale. If a mesh drip profile is used, overlaps of 10 cm should be made at the joints of the profile mesh and the reinforcement mesh.
Building corners, windows, door edges are the areas most exposed to mechanical stress. To obtain smooth edges and corners by protecting these areas, PVC or Aluminum corner profiles should be used. Since these areas are also at high risk of cracking, it is recommended to use corner profiles with mesh. Corner profiles should be placed on the insulation boards in such a way that they touch the whole surface with the application of plaster with mesh. In case of using meshed PVC corner profiles, 10 cm overlaps should be made at the joints of profile mesh and reinforcement mesh.
If aluminum corner profile is used, the reinforcement mesh on the facade should be applied so that the corner completely turns at least 20 cm from the bottom of the profile. The reinforcement mesh applied to the entire surface should be overlaid on this application at least 10 cm.
Before applying thermal insulation board plaster, the thermal insulation boards must be firmly adhered to the surface and doweled. Plates should not be stretched by wind load. Plate surfaces should be dust-free and clean.

Application
25 kg Polymax M5, Thermal Insulation Board Plaster is poured into a container filled with approximately 5.5-6.5 liters of water and mixed with a low-speed mixer or trowel until a lump-free mixture is obtained.
During the mixture, any additives not specified in the application instructions should not be added.
The prepared mortar is rested for 3-5 minutes to mature, and again 1-2 minutes. It should be mixed until it becomes homogeneous.
In-pot mixture should be consumed within 1-2 hours.
The first layer of plaster is applied on the prepared mortar thermal insulation boards with a steel trowel of 2.5-3.0 mm. Allmax reinforcement mesh should be placed from top to bottom before the thermal insulation plaster dries, by pressing and stretching well, without folding and equally from the insulation plate to the entire surface, but close to the exterior. While the direction of the 10 cm overlay is not important when going from left to right or right to left in the net application, the top net should always be overlaid on the bottom net at least 10 cm at the joints in the applications going from top to bottom.
In addition, the reinforcement mesh should be rotated at least 20 cm and reinforced with cross reinforcement mesh at such points corresponding to door-window edges, column-beam junction points and beam floor transitions where plaster cracks occur more.
After the first layer of plaster is slightly watered, the second layer is applied with a steel trowel before it dries. 2/3 of the plaster should be under the net and 1/3 of it should be on the net. The plaster to be applied on the thermal insulation boards should have a minimum thickness of 3mm and a maximum of 4mm.
In addition, as a second alternative, the thermal insulation plaster can be applied as a single layer of 4 mm thickness with a 10x10 mm notched trowel. The system reinforcement mesh is overlapped by 10 cm on each other at the joints and pressed 1.0-1.5 mm to the exterior surface with a trowel before the plaster dries, and the plaster surface is leveled. Window and door corners should also be reinforced with diagonal reinforcement mesh.

Warnings
In cases where it is necessary to suspend the application, it should be continued by making a 15 cm overlap on the net. Therefore, the person taking a break should not apply plaster to the 15 cm net part to be added.
In the facade details with joint gaps, after applying plaster mortar equal to the width of the profile under the joint profile, joint gap profile should be placed in the joints opened on the board. During the placement, care should be taken to ensure that the profile is in the balance and in the corners. If a mesh joint profile is used, overlaps of 10 cm should be made at the joints of the profile mesh and the reinforcement mesh.
If the ambient and surface temperature of the application is not between + 5ºC and + 35ºC, suitable temperatures should be expected. In addition, the application should not be done in extremely hot, rainy or windy weathers.
Working and reaction times of cement based systems are affected by the environment and ground temperature and relative humidity in the air.
Under no circumstances, water and new material should be added to the Polymax M5 mixture that has started to dry.
In exterior surface applications, the coated surface must be protected from excessive sunlight, wind, frost or rain for the first 24 hours.
After the application of thermal insulation plaster, the surface should be painted or covered without excessive dew, moisture and precipitation. Otherwise, a whitening problem may occur in the final coat and / or paint applications.
In applications made thicker than the recommended application thickness, due to the regional increased plaster thickness, the mesh cannot be applied equally to the whole surface and close to the exterior, which may cause cracks.
Allmax Reinforcement Mesh with high alkali and tensile strength should be used in the application of Polyfix M5 Thermal Insulation Board Plaster.
Nets that do not comply with the standards may cause cracks in practice as they cannot meet the tensile stresses that will occur in the plaster.
Any application to be applied on the plastered surface should be done only after the plaster is completely dry and the plaster surface becomes the most durable, that is, 3-7 days later depending on the weather temperature. Cracking may occur in applications made on plaster that does not lose its full water.

Consumption
