Pre-Application Preparation:
The adhesive must be cured prior to grouting.
Joint gaps should be completely free of residues that will prevent adhesion.
The depth of the joint should be at least 2/3 of the thickness of the ceramic.
When using highly absorbent coating materials, when applying in hot and windy weather, the joints should be moistened with clean water.

Application
Pour 20 kg of Alfuga Flex, Flexible Joint Filler into 6.5-7.0 lt of water slowly and mix until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Mixing should be done with a low speed mixer. Any additives not specified in the application instructions should not be added. Adding more or less water than specified may cause cracking, dusting and color defects. The prepared mortar should be rested for 5-10 minutes to mature. It should be mixed again for 1-2 minutes before starting the application. The mortar should be spread on the surface and filled with a rubber trowel into the joint gaps with cross movements and the excess should be scraped off the surface. When the material filled into the joint gap loses its water and becomes dull, usually after 10-20 minutes, the surface should be cleaned with a damp sponge in circular motions. This period may be shortened in applications performed under unfavorable ambient conditions such as direct sun and wind, among coating materials with high absorption or waiting in the sun. If the wiping process is done before time or with a very watery sponge, the problem of color fluctuation may be encountered. The sponge should be cleaned frequently. After making sure that Alfuga Flex is dry enough that it does not drain from the joint, the residues remaining on the surface should be cleaned with a dry cloth.

Warnings:
Expired or crusted mortar in the container should be discarded. Hands and application tools should be washed with plenty of water after application. When Alfuga Flex is applied in very hot, dry and windy conditions, it is recommended to sprinkle water on it a few hours after application to improve the final performance.

Consumption: See. Joint Consumption Chart

Storage and Shelf Life
It should be stored in its unopened original package, in a cool and dry environment, protected from frost. For short term storage, maximum 3 palettes should be placed on top of each other and the shipment should be made on a first in, first out system. Palettes should not be stacked on top of each other during long term storage. Suitable storage conditions are 12 months from the date of production. Opened packages should be stored under appropriate storage conditions and used within one week.
