The above values are given for +23 ºC and 50% relative humidity. These values may change depending on the application temperature.
Pre-Application Preparation:
The surface must be solid, dust-free, dry, clean and have sufficient load resistance. All kinds of oil, grease, rust, plaster, paraffin and paint residues that will weaken adherence from the surface should be thoroughly cleaned and there should be no loose particles on the surface. Joint, fracture etc. on the surface. Such defects should be repaired before application. In large areas, application levels should be determined by making a grid in order to avoid any level difference. In order to extend the processing time of the Altop SL 210 leveling screed, increase the adherence to the floor and minimize air bubbles, be sure to prime the surface with Betomax Level floor primer.
Application:
20 kg Altop SL 210, Cement Based, Self Leveling Screed, approximately 4,5-5,0 lt. It is poured into a container full of water and mixed with a low-speed mixer for 3-5 minutes until a homogenous and lump-free mixture is obtained. After resting for about 3-5 minutes and mixing again for 30 seconds, the material becomes ready to use. The mixture should be spread on the prepared surface with a toothed trowel or adjustable trowel in the desired thickness. The mortar spreads on the surface by leveling itself properly. When the spread of the mortar is finished, it is recommended to use a spiked roller for the evacuation of air bubbles and surface smoothness.
Warnings:
Continuous application is required to obtain a solid and smooth coating. For this reason, according to the size of the application area, more than one mixing bucket should be used to ensure the continuity of the pouring process and the prepared mixtures should be poured on the floor one after another to ensure effective dispersion. It should not be forgotten that if the mixture is made at high speed, air bubbles will be dragged into the material and the surface will appear damaged. After mixing, the material should be rested and then mixed again and the application should be done. It should not be applied in places with low humidity, high room temperature, and open to sun and wind effects. In applications, if the ambient and surface temperature is below + 5 ° C or above + 25 ° C, appropriate temperatures should be determined. In addition, application should not be made in extremely hot, rainy and windy weathers. The materials to be used at the appropriate temperatures should be brought and stored in the application area 1-2 days prior to the application and adaptation to the ambient conditions should be ensured. In applications to be carried out in extreme cold weather, it should be ensured that the ambient and ground temperature are increased with the help of heaters, and the packages should be conditioned at + 20 ° C - + 25 ° C to be ready for use in order to increase the workability of the material. Working and reaction times of cement based systems are affected by the environment and ground temperature and relative humidity in the air. At low temperatures, hydration slows down, which increases pot life and working time. High temperatures accelerate hydration and the times stated above are shortened accordingly. In order for the material to complete its setting, the ambient and ground temperature should not fall below the allowed minimum temperature.
After the application of Altop SL 210, it must be waited for at least 3 days for any other process (wood parquet, PVC, etc.). Fast drying should be prevented after the material is applied. The applied material should be protected from contact with water. Never add powder and water to the expired or crusted mortar in the container. Wash all tools and application equipment with clean water immediately after use. Altop SL 210 can only be cleaned by mechanical methods after hardening.
Consumption: Average 1.5 kg / m² (1 mm thickness) Consumption amount is theoretically calculated values in laboratory environment; We recommend that consumption control sample application be made before the application.
Packing: 20 kg craft bag.
Storage and Shelf Life:
It should be stored in its unopened original package, in a cool and dry environment, protected from frost. For short term storage, maximum 3 palettes should be placed on top of each other and the shipment should be made on a first in, first out system.
Palettes should not be stacked on top of each other during long term storage.
It is 12 months from the date of production under suitable storage conditions.
Opened packages should be stored under appropriate storage conditions and used within one week.
